Humble beginnings:
Hardcore Trailers Australia is a small Australian owned company. The company originated in Townsville, Queensland however is now based in Brisbane. Starting with one strong off road trailer design suitable of withstanding The Cape, Territory and The Kimberleys. For any of you who have traveled those tracks, you will know that it is unforgiving country that requires strong and reliable equipment.
We listen:
That means we don't aim to sell you a full chassis, 1.5 tonne full off road trailer if you're aiming to take a medium quad bike and camping gear out to the National Park a couple of times a year. On the other end of the scale, we don't aim to design and sell you a tradesmans model if you're planning on a 3 month trip to the cape, travelling along the Old Telegraph track carrying an 800kg Polaris buggy. At the end of the day, the purchasing decision is yours. We simply offer specialist advice to guide you to selecting or designing a trailer suited to your needs and budget.
We build:
Hardcore Trailers Australia specialise in the design and fabrication of strong, reliable and suitable trailers. We aim to build and sell you a trailer that is suitable for the use which you tell us. Whether it be an affordable custom trailer or a standard design from our extensive range.
Robust trailers at extremely competitive prices:
Hardcore Trailers Australia is a privately owned Australian company. We don't have retail sales shops. Most of our requests for trailers come from word of mouth from the campground. And a few orders come from the small advertising sticker on the rear tailgate of our trailers. We have a fabrication workshop in Brisbane with very high quality fabrication tools. It doesn't cost a lot at all to have us design and fabricate a trailer suitable to your needs.
Quality:
We use steel from Australian Steel Mills ranging from 3mm walls to 6mm wall. The foundation of our trailers rests on a superior chassis and suspension design. We use the same foundations across every model and we don't skimp on the materials. We build all our trailers with a centre joist and 4 to 5 cross members (depending on the trailer length). Our product overview pages clearly lay out the specific design and strength features of each model.
Don't be fooled:
When searching for a suitable trailer, don't just buy the first model you come across. Ask a lot of questions about the materials, strength and fabrication. Talk to a number of fabricators. Don't just talk to showroom salespeople and believe their model is the best. An off road trailer is not a cheap imported gal trailer with a set of 6 stud landcruiser hubs, extended draw bar and jerry can holder. On the other end of the scale, don't be fooled into believing a custom trailer will cost you a fortune. Those stories of it being a 'one off design' just for you. Most fabricators take their base design and adjust it for the specific order. Most custom trailers don't require architects, engineers and adjusting of automated machines. At Hardcore Trailers Australia, we cost our custom designs at $90 a fabricating hour plus any materials. For example, if you wanted a longer draw bar we just charge you for the materials. We already have to fabricate a drawbar onto the trailer. And it does not take us any more time to fabricate a 1.8metre drawbar over a 1.2metre one. It's a little more for the steel which we quote for you.
